What about SPAM?
SPAM or spamming on the Internet is defined as sending unsolicited messages, particularly those hype-filled buy-me-now ones, to email addressees or text (SMS) recipients who didn't want to receive the message. Unfortunately, some marketers think that mass emailing or texting is a legitimate marketing tool. We will do everything possible to protect our users from spam. We have a "One Strike - You're Out!" policy in place, so if anyone feels that they have received SPAM that has been forwarded by TextAway, please contact us immediately with all any relevant details so that we can put a stop to the SPAMMER. |

Does TextAway cost money to use?
No. TextAway is absolutely free to use. Cell phone providers may charge the recipient a fee for receiving an SMS message, but our service is totally free. |

Where does TextAway work?
Currently, TextAway can only send messages to U.S. cell phones. Soon enough, we will be able to offer international messaging.

How do I use TextAway?
Simply type in a single 10 digit cell phone number or multiple numbers by using commas to send messages to friends, family and co-workers. You can also select how you would like to receive a response to your message. You can specify whether you would like to have any responses routed to your cell phone, email, or your TextAway Inbox (for registered users).

Do I have to register to use TextAway?
You do not have to register to use our messaging feature. You can use TextAway to keep in touch with all of your friends, family and co-workers. We do, however, offer users who register a wealth of cool features. A registered user can store their mobile contacts in their account, send Cell-Vite Invitations, and customize their account to send sports scores, weather, news and shopping updates to their phone. Even being a registered user with TextAway is totally free. It simply allows you to enjoy more innovative features of our service! |
